Live Music Throughout the Weekend

From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May, real ale and cider lovers can sample around 100 real ales, ciders and perries along with some great entertainment from live bands on the festival stage throughout the weekend.

Previous bands include the sounds of R&B, swing, pop and reggae who have taken to our indoor stage. Start your bank holiday weekend the right way!

Friday 22nd May

Headlining the Beer & Cider Festival on Friday 22nd May is Bobby Fuego’s Fat Fingers of Funk.

16:30-17:15 & 17:30-18:15 - The Spooky Wagons

The Spooky Wagons are an Eastbourne based group of 5 friends who came together through their shared love of Country and Modern Folk Music. Playing songs from George Ezra and Ben Howard through to Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift, with their beautiful harmonies and choice of toe tapping tunes, The Spooky Wagons will guarantee you have a great night.

18:45-19:45 & 20:00-21:00 - Bobby Fuego’s Fat Fingers of Funk

Born from a mutual love of Jazz, Latin, Funk and good times, Bobby Fuego's Fat Fingers of Funk brings together the Hastings talents of Rob Leake on Saxes, bassist Roger Carey, drummer Richmond Stockwell, guitarist Danny Jefferies and Jo Brooks on keys and vocals.

Saturday 23rd May

Daytime

11:30-12:15 & 12:30-13:15- Stray Dogs

Stray Dogs are made up of Alex Grayson and Garry Wonfor originally from London. Two of their albums have been recorded on the Delta record label and have had many gigs all over UK. Stray Dogs have a talent that lends itself perfectly to the recording studio, though they’re even better live. Their first album, in 1998, was an acoustic reworking of Simon & Garfunkel songs, which they followed up in 2001 with “Unplug the Beatles”.

13:45-14:30 & 14:45-15:30Cracks in the Land

Cracks In The Land are a band from Sussex, that have a rootsy acoustic music vibe with a pop and groove sensibility.
They share a love of influences ranging from pop/rock (Crowded House/Fleetwood mac) through to modern grooves and alt-folk

17:00-18:15 - Zachary Dogwood’s Big Soul Band

Since 2013 Eastbourne-based Zachary Dogwood have been captivating audiences with an intriguing mix of their own finely crafted songs and eclectic covers. With this bigger line-up they become the floor-filling Zachary Dogwood’s Big Soul Band. Get ready to party!

18:45-19:45 & 20:00-21:00 - Unihorn

Come and join Eastbourne’s favourite five-piece as they rock their way through Saturday evening. A covers band that play all your favourites from T-Rex and the Rolling Stones to the Killers and Queen with everything in-between.
Amidst the high energy drums, throbbing bass lines and screaming guitars, frontman Steve will have you singing along and dancing the night away.

12:15-13:30 - Bettesteiner Footstompers Oompah Band

The Bettesteiner Footstompers are a Kent based Bavarian style Oompah band who can bring the fun and spirit of Oktoberfest to your event whatever month it is! Popular all over the South East the band plays in halls, theatres, military camps and at private functions. It has performed live on the Alan Titchmarsh Show, at Wembley for the Champions League Final between Münich and Dortmund, on Soccer AM, CNN News and Lemon la Vida Loca.

14:00-15:00 & 15:15-16:15 - Joel White

A powerful presence on any stage, Joel White is dynamic, musical and entertaining in equal measure. Soul, Blues, Jazz and Funk are the languages he most fluently speaks. Since the age of 7 playing music has been a part of his life, starting with guitar then diversifying and adapting to becoming a multi-instrumentalist and accomplished songwriter.

16:45-17:30 & 17:45-18:30 - Lipstick & Beatniks

Lipstick & Beatniks are a five piece band based in East Sussex specialising in various forms of Jazz, Electro Swing, Boogie Woogie, Rockabilly, Soul, Latin and Blues. With astonishing virtuosity and the grooviest rhythm section around, they will be sure to get you dancing! They are making a name for themselves in the Sussex/Kent area and were finalists at the Twinwood Festival (largest Vintage Festival in the UK) New Artists competition. "Cool! Great job guys!"
